“Caring for myself is not self-indulgence, it is self-preservation.” -Audre Lorde
Being in relationship with yourself, others, and the world around you can be how you feel most alive and fully human, and where you experience life’s deepest challenges.
In therapy we embody our unique identities - our experiences, stories, emotions, beliefs, thoughts, and behaviors. You might be feeling overwhelmed, stuck, wanting something different but aren’t sure how to get there. Navigating grief, anxiety, depression, and burnout is painful, and doesn’t have to be done alone. In a respectful, collaborative space, I offer a warm, grounded presence and evidence-based approaches to support your well-being, healing, and growth.
My approach to therapy
I work with individuals, couples, and families (children 13+) in-person (Seattle) and via telehealth (Washington State). I specialize in providing care for elder adults experiencing life transitions, generational differences, cognitive and physical change, chronic illness, loss, grief, loneliness, anxiety, depression, addiction, and stress. Adults, families, and caregivers often navigate issues and treatment within medical models of care. Embracing collaborative care, therapy can provide integrated emotional, psychological, and relational support to every-day health.
With training in systemic therapy, I provide a culturally responsive, strengths-based approach, considering each person within their family and community context. Tailoring therapy to the needs of each person, I draw from Solution-Focused Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), and trauma-informed, somatic practices including EMDR.
