“to embrace joy in the midst is radical. to call out to magic. to drown in creative energy. to dabble in pleasure. to want softness. this is radical. don't let them guilt you into believing otherwise. dwelling in this kind of radical does not keep us from showing up. from doing the critical work. if anything, it saves us for the work" – Malebo Sephodi
Starting therapy is a brave step, and it’s okay if it feels overwhelming. This is a space where you don’t have to carry everything alone. Together, we’ll make room for your story, your feelings, and your healing at a pace that feels right for you. You may be holding the weight of trauma, navigating life transitions, or feeling drained from caring for everyone else. In therapy you can set some of that down, reconnect with yourself, and imagine new ways forward. You already carry resilience within you. Here, you’ll have space to nurture it, trust it, and step into a life rooted in rest, joy, and liberation.
My approach to therapy
I work with adults and offer both in-person and virtual sessions. My approach draws from Somatic Experiencing, EMDR, mindfulness, and polyvagal-informed care. All of these approaches recognize that our bodies often carry the weight of past experiences, and by working with breath, movement, and awareness, we can begin to release what’s been held and reconnect with safety and wholeness. In our sessions, we may use EMDR to process painful memories, mindfulness to build self-compassion, and polyvagal practices to strengthen resilience, all at a pace that feels right for you.
My work is grounded in systems theory, feminist perspectives, and a liberation-focused lens, which means we will explore not only your inner world but also the ways oppression and systemic inequities shape your experience. I believe healing happens in connection to yourself, your body, your values, and your community. Therapy can be a space to nurture those connections and imagine new possibilities for healing and joy. Clients who value humor, movement, openness, and authenticity often feel at home with me.
